This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through Crux ("Crux," "we," "our," or "us"), a service operated by Arinian Studio.

We want our refund terms to be clear, fair, and easy to understand. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.

1. What You're Purchasing

When you purchase a Crux report, you are paying for an AI-generated, personalized self-discovery report created uniquely for you at the moment of your purchase. Each report is built from your individual birth information (date, time, and place of birth) and synthesizes three traditional systems — Four Pillars, astrology, and numerology — into a single interpretive narrative.

Because each report is uniquely generated and immediately delivered, it is considered a fully performed digital service once delivery is complete.

2. General Refund Policy

Except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided in this Policy, all sales are final once your report has been generated and delivered.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • A change of mind after purchase
  • Disagreement with the interpretation, content, or insights of your report
  • A different expectation of what the service would provide
  • Not using or accessing the report after delivery

This policy reflects the nature of personalized digital content, which cannot be returned or resold once generated. This does not affect any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

3. EU, EEA, and UK Consumers — Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts, you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you may cancel your purchase without giving any reason.

To deliver your report immediately after payment, we ask for your express consent at checkout. Before completing your purchase, you must actively confirm the following statement by ticking an unchecked box at checkout:

"I expressly request that Crux begin performing the service immediately, and I acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the report has been fully generated and delivered."

If you do not provide this consent, your purchase will not proceed.

We will record this consent with your order and may include confirmation of it in your purchase confirmation email or other durable electronic confirmation.

Once your report has been fully generated and delivered, or once you have begun accessing or using the delivered report, the service and digital content are considered fully performed or supplied. To the extent permitted by applicable law, your right of withdrawal no longer applies in accordance with the relevant exceptions for fully performed services and digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, including Article 16(a) and Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent provisions in UK law.

Withdrawal Before Delivery

If you wish to withdraw your purchase after payment but before your report has been generated, contact us immediately at support@cruxpov.com with your order number. If the report has not yet been generated at the time we receive your request, we will cancel the order and issue a full refund.

4. Refunds We Will Always Issue

Regardless of where you live, we will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

(a) Technical failure on our side. If your report fails to generate because of a system error on our side, and we are unable to deliver a working report within 3 business days of your purchase, we will issue a full refund, or sooner where required by applicable law.

(b) Duplicate charges. If you were charged more than once for the same report due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate charges in full.

(c) Unauthorized transactions. If you believe your payment method was used without your authorization, contact us immediately at support@cruxpov.com. We will work with Paddle and the relevant payment provider to investigate. Where the transaction is confirmed as unauthorized by Paddle, the payment provider, or applicable law, a refund or reversal will be processed.

(d) Defective or non-conforming digital content. This Policy does not limit your rights where the report is not delivered, is materially incomplete, is generated from incorrect data due to our system error, or otherwise fails to meet mandatory legal standards that apply to digital content or services.

(e) Mandatory consumer protection laws. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Where such mandatory rights apply, those rights take precedence over this policy.

5. How to Request a Refund

For issues covered by this Policy, please contact us at support@cruxpov.com as soon as possible. For faster processing, we recommend contacting us within 14 days of your purchase. Statutory rights and rights under Section 4 above are not limited by this timeframe.

When contacting us, include:

  • Your order number (sent to you in the purchase confirmation email)
  • The email address used for purchase
  • A brief description of the issue

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and respond with a decision within 7 business days.

6. How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are processed through our payment provider, Paddle (paddle.com), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all Crux transactions.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase.
  • Processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
  • For purchases where sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar tax was collected by Paddle, refund of those taxes follows Paddle's own tax refund procedures, available in the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us at support@cruxpov.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue.

If a chargeback appears to involve fraud, abuse, or a false claim of non-delivery after a report has been delivered, we may suspend access to the relevant report or account while the dispute is investigated, to the extent permitted by law.

8. About the Nature of Our Service

Crux is a self-discovery tool. It is interpretive and reflective in nature, and is not intended as, and does not replace:

  • Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice or treatment
  • Financial, investment, or legal advice
  • Professional counseling, coaching, or therapy

Reports are offered as one perspective among many, and should not be used as the sole basis for major life decisions. Dissatisfaction with the interpretive nature, perceived accuracy, or content of a report does not, on its own, constitute grounds for a refund outside the circumstances described in Sections 3 and 4 above.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, where required by law or reasonably practicable, we may notify users by email or through the Service. The version of this policy applicable to your purchase is the version in effect on the date of your purchase.

10. Governing Law

This Refund Policy, as between you and Arinian Studio regarding your use of Crux, is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Payment transactions processed by Paddle may also be subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Nothing in this section affects any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
