Welcome to Crux. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form the agreement between you and Arinian Studio ("Crux," "we," "our," or "us") and govern your access to and use of the Crux website, services, and any reports generated for you (collectively, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Service, or by purchasing a report, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Crux is a service operated by Arinian Studio, a business registered in the Republic of Korea.

2. What Crux Is

Crux is a self-discovery tool that generates personalized interpretive reports based on your birth information (date, time, and place of birth). Each report is created using AI synthesis of three traditional interpretive systems — Four Pillars, astrology, and numerology — and is delivered as digital content immediately after purchase.

Crux is intended for personal reflection and self-understanding. Crux is not, and does not provide:

  • Guaranteed predictions, or claims that specific future events will occur
  • Medical, psychological, or psychiatric advice or treatment
  • Financial, investment, tax, or legal advice
  • Professional counseling, coaching, or therapy
  • Emergency support or crisis intervention

Any timing-related language in a report is reflective and interpretive, not a guarantee or prediction that a particular event will happen.

Reports are interpretive in nature. They are offered as one perspective among many and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any major life decision.

Your use of Crux does not create any doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, financial advisor-client, or other professional relationship.

If you are experiencing a medical, mental health, or personal emergency, do not rely on Crux. Contact emergency services or a qualified professional immediately.

3. Eligibility

To use Crux, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is higher)
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
  • Use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws

Crux is not intended for use by anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has accessed the Service, please contact us at support@cruxpov.com.

4. Your Account

To purchase a report, you may need to create an account or sign in through a third-party provider (such as Google). When you create an account or use the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Keep your account credentials confidential
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us promptly at support@cruxpov.com if you suspect any unauthorized use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, are used in violation of these Terms, or are involved in fraudulent activity.

5. Birth Information You Provide

To generate your report, you will be asked to provide your birth date, birth time (if known), and birth place.

You may only submit birth information about yourself. You may not submit another person's birth information without our prior permission, even if that information is publicly known.

You confirm that:

  • The information you submit is your own
  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge

Inaccurate birth information will result in an inaccurate report. We cannot verify the information you provide, and refunds are not available for reports based on incorrect information you submitted.

6. Purchases and Payment

Pricing

The price of each report is shown on the purchase page at the time of your transaction. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but the price you pay is the price displayed at the moment of your purchase.

Payment Provider

All payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all Crux transactions. This means Paddle is the seller of record responsible for handling payment, applicable sales taxes (such as VAT, GST), and certain compliance obligations.

When you make a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) and Paddle's Privacy Notice (paddle.com/legal/privacy).

Paddle's Buyer Terms govern the payment transaction between you and Paddle. These Terms govern your access to and use of Crux, including the report and the Service provided by Arinian Studio. If there is a conflict between these Terms and Paddle's Buyer Terms regarding payment processing, taxes, invoices, or Paddle's checkout process, Paddle's Buyer Terms will control for those matters.

One-Time Purchase

Crux reports are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. You will not be charged on a recurring basis. There is no automatic renewal.

Immediate Delivery and Withdrawal Rights

Reports are generated and delivered immediately after payment. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal, you will be asked at checkout to expressly consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the report has been generated and delivered. 7. Refunds

Refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. License to Use Your Report

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use your report for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may:

  • View and re-read your report
  • Save a copy of your report for personal reference
  • Share excerpts of your report with friends or family for personal discussion
  • Use the optional "Share Card" feature provided in the Service

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit your report or any portion of it
  • Reproduce the Service or any substantial portion of it for any commercial purpose
  • Use the report or its contents to train, fine-tune, or develop any AI or machine learning model
  • Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect content from the Service

9. Intellectual Property

To the extent we own or control any rights in the report generated for you, we grant you the license described in Section 8. We retain all rights in the Service itself, including the underlying interpretive framework, report structure, prompts, design, illustrations, software, brand elements, and other materials used to produce the report.

All content of the Service is owned by Arinian Studio or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The name "Crux," the Crux logo, and related marks are trademarks of Arinian Studio. You may not use them without our prior written permission.

10. AI-Generated Content

Crux reports are generated using artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and accept that:

  • AI-generated content is probabilistic in nature and may contain inaccuracies, unexpected phrasing, or interpretations that differ from your expectations
  • Reports are not deterministic and the same input may produce slightly different outputs across generations
  • The Service is provided "as is" with respect to AI output, and we make no warranty that any specific output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose
  • Interpretive statements in the report should be read as one reflective perspective, not as factual determinations about your identity, future, health, finances, relationships, or legal rights

We disclose in these Terms and within the Service that report content is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence based on traditional interpretive frameworks.

11. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe the rights of any third party
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its servers, databases, or any related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security features
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use any automated means to access the Service
  • Misrepresent your identity or your birth information for fraudulent purposes
  • Use the Service to create a competing product or service

12. Service Availability and Report Access

We aim to keep Crux available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or factors outside our control. We are not liable for any temporary unavailability of the Service, except as required by applicable law.

We may allow you to access previously purchased reports through your account, but you are responsible for saving a personal copy if you wish to keep it. We do not guarantee permanent storage or indefinite availability of reports, except where required by applicable law.

13. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, uninterrupted, or that any specific result will be obtained from using the Service
  • We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement

Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service, regardless of the basis of the claim, will not exceed the amount paid for the report giving rise to the claim
  • We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law

Nothing in this section limits our liability for:

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law

15. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Arinian Studio, its representatives, and affiliates from third-party claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from:

  • Your material breach of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of applicable law or third-party rights

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of your account by emailing support@cruxpov.com (see our Privacy Policy for details on data deletion).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with notice where reasonably practicable and required by law, if:

  • You materially breach these Terms
  • Your use of the Service poses a security, fraud, or legal risk to us or others
  • We are required to do so by law

Where we terminate access to an account, we may still provide reasonable access to previously purchased reports where required by applicable law and where doing so does not create a security, fraud, or legal risk.

Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that, by their nature, should survive — including ownership provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, where required by law or reasonably practicable, we will notify users by email or through the Service before the changes take effect.

The Terms in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase, except where changes are required by law or relate to ongoing access, security, or operation of the Service.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms, as between you and Arinian Studio regarding your use of Crux, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

Where permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought in the courts of the Republic of Korea, with the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country or state of residence, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts where local law so provides.

Payment transactions processed by Paddle may be governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and applicable country-specific terms.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and Crux regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
